Breathtaking Woodwork Meets Modern Technology
Continued Testimonial ………..
“We love our new custom home, and despite what people may tell you about building – we actually enjoyed the process. From working with Kevin on the design through the actual build with Zach, Bob and the other expert carpenters, each day was pleasant and exciting. We had a lot of “ideas”, and all we had to do was show Kevin and Zach pictures of what we wanted and they would take the idea and make it even better than we imagined.
During each part of the process they knew which jobs they could do better, faster, and/or cheaper and which jobs should be sub-contracted out. For our framing, masonry, custom cabinets, etc., KLH Homes has contacts with the top craftsman in Central Illinois and made sure we received the best treatment possible. The quality and meticulous craftsmanship of the final product exceeded our expectations and we could not be happier – our new home makes us feel like we’re on vacation every day!”
This gorgeous Craftsman Style home had been the dream of its owner and designer for a number of years, until he was ready to look for a Contractor with the track record and amazing skill to bring to life his design. KLH Homes, Inc. working with their own artisans and master craftsmen, as well as local artists, brought this dream to reality.
Craftsman style is characterized by simplicity, handiwork, and natural materials, Craftsman home plans are cozy, often with shingle siding and stone details. Though most Craftsman homes are constructed of wood, the piers may be crafted from stone or brick. Together with the low profile and the tapering piers, the use of natural materials gives the Craftsman home an organic feel. Inside, Craftsman floor plans have few hallways, with rooms flowing one into another. A high level of detail is designed to increase functionality, with useful features such as built-in benches and cabinetry.
This Craftsman follows the design style but went a step further. It is a SMART HOME! Engineered to utilize the latest modern technology that the Craftsman School of Design could never have imagined.
